To St. Ives famous for its modern art Gallery and winding streets to the very end of Britain at Land’s End. We follow the coast via Penzance to legendary St. Michael’s Mount with its tidal causeway. On to ST. MAWES on the Falmouth estuary.
The three beautiful gardens of Trelissick. Lanhydrock House and gardens, a beautiful Jacobean house with wonderful Victorian kitchens. Polperro the last fishing village in Cornwall and on to the PLYMOUTH the great naval seaport and the Pilgrim Fathers last point of departure.
Over the open moorland of Dartmoor to visit the Edwardian folly and Lutyen’s masterpiece of Castle Drogo. Via the cathedral city of Exeter to LYME REGIS, made famous by the French Lieutenant’s Woman who waited on the Cobb.
Through Thomas Hardy country to Dorchester and on to Poole with its famous pottery. Through the New Forest to visit Broadlands the former home of Earl Mountbatten and where Prince Charles and Princess Diana spent their honeymoon. The last night is spent in historic WINCHESTER, ancient capital of England with a magnificent Cathedral and in the Great Hall a medieval version of King Arthur’s Round Table.
To the Royal Castle at Windsor with its magnificent collection of art and the neighbouring town of Eton with its famous boy’s school and finally back to LONDON.
