Wheel in the world. See London as you have never seen it before.

BRITISH MUSEUM - GREAT COURT. It took a multi million
pound project to open up the Great Court in which the Reading
Room of the British Library had been obscured for generations,
and cut of from the general public. Now it has been cleared and
opened up into a spectacular glassed over wonderful space. And
as it forms the very centre of the Museum it has totally changed
the BM experience. There are also some exciting new galleries
covering Africa and the Americas.
TATE MODERN - At Bankside (South Bank near Southwark
Bridge). Opened May 2000. This has become a much enlarged replacement
for the modern art side of the much loved Tate Gallery. Arguably
the most significant new modern art gallery in the world to open

SHAKESPEARES GLOBE THEATRE. Exact working reconstruction
of the 17th century theatre. See Shakespeares plays as performed
in his lifetime or just take a tour round the theatre including

SOMERSET HOUSE. One of London's finest and grandest 18th
century buildings now at last accessible to the public, housing
the Courtauld Institute paintings and the Gilbert Collection of
silver and gold and micromosaics and soon to come treasures of

ELTHAM PALACE. Quite close to Greenwich. One of the oldest
royal palaces, boyhood home of HenryV111, sadly neglected for
nearly 300 years, but rebuilt in the 1930s by Stephen Courtauld,
and now with its superb Art Nouveau interiors wonderfully restored,
making this the best example of the periods furnishings
in England.
